William Lauder is a famous American businessman. He was born in 1960 to Evelyn and Leonard Lauder. His grandmother was the famous Mrs Estée Lauder. She is the founder of The Estée Lauder Company – a Premium Company in beauty products and skincare in the USA. He graduated from the Wharton School in 1983 from The University of Pennsylvania with a B.S in Economics.
From June 1998 to July 2001, William Lauder was the President of the Clinique Laboratories. It was during this time and under his leadership that the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion under his leadership, became the best-selling prestigious skin care product in major departmental stores in the USA. After this, Clinique launched Stop Signs Visible Anti-Ageing Serum. This was the first anti-ageing serum that won the Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Award for “The Best Skin Care Product in Limited Distribution” in 2000. Mr Lauder was a prime catalyst in enhancing the market share of the brand in the hair care segment. He achieved great success in spearheading the launch of the Clinique Simple Hair Care System. He also supervised the website of Clinique as its brand enhancing and marketing tool to engage present customers and attract future customers.
William Lauder has joined The Estée Lauder Companies in the year 1986. He was the Regional Marketing Director for Clinique, USA. He managed the New York area. After his stint with Clinique, Lauder spent two years with Prescriptives as a Field Sales Manager. Before joining his grandmother’s company he completed an executive training program in New York. This training program was the Macy’s Executive Training Program. He later went on to become the Merchandising Manager of the Dallas/New York Store when it opened in 1985 in September. From the years 1990 to 1998, William Lauder was the Vice President and General Manager of Origins Natural Resources Inc. He later became the President of the brand.
