Sweet Tomatoes
Location: 12561 S Apopka-Vineland Road, Crossroads Plaza, Orlando
In 1978, in San Diego, a couple of friends had an idea to make a chain of healthy food restaurants. Here, 75% of the food is vegan or gluten free. Every dish is clearly marked, including calorie content. The restaurant is a self-service buffet, which is quite casual and welcoming all ages. All the products are local, from family farms, delivered to ‘Sweet Tomatoes’ in refrigerated trucks, within hours of harvest.
There are hundreds of cooks all over the USA, who are passionately working in 97 restaurants of the chain, to create the healthiest dishes and to please millions of guests.
The fresh crisp salads, from farm recipes, are chopped by hand. House-made dressings, tantalizing desserts, real California strawberries, added to lemonades-you would love it all! All you need to do is to come, take yourself a plate, build a fresh salad, then prepay for as much as you can eat of baked potatoes, salad, soups, pizza, breads, and pasta. Costs vary only on the type of drinks. Sweet Tomatoes is an excellent choice for the vegetarians.

The Wave of American Flavors
Location: 4600 N World Dr, Orlando
The restaurant is located on the lobby level of The Contemporary Hotel near the famous Disneyland.
The new American cuisine, which is served there, is inspired by regionally and locally sourced ingredients. Guests can enjoy à la carte morning meals (such as eggs Benedict or sweet potato pancakes served with butter and a slice of bacon or sausage), or a classic American buffet from 7:30 to 11:00. At a buffet, you can even try Mickey shaped waffles for the kids, who are impatiently waiting to meet Mickey in Disneyland. We advise you to come for breakfast around 10:00. There would be less people, as everyone goes to the entertainment park.
This casual and, at the same time, elegant restaurant in Disney’s Contemporary Resort is offering healthful, fresh dishes with an international flair, as well as tasty organic craft beers and wines from all over the world. The variety of vegetarian dishes is not extended, though, those, who are not meat-eaters, would appreciate fresh salads, potato gnocchi and a divine dessert selection.
As this eatery is very popular, the reservation is recommended. Moreover, it could be made up to half a year before your visit. However, it is better to check the menu items, before the date of visit, as they may change.

The Sanctum Café
Location: 715 N Ferncreek Ave, Unit D, Orlando
It is a gluten-free and meat-free vegan restaurant. If there is gluten in the dish, letter ‘G’ is put in the menu. The only non-vegan items are goat cheese and feta, or milk for your coffee or smoothie.
The philosophy of this eatery is to support local artisans and farmers, not just because they are local, but because they are better than the others.
The dishes, which are served there, are nutrient-rich and great-tasting, consisting of the best ingredients available.
A talented, self-taught chef, Chelsie Savage, together with her husband, were traveling a lot, tasting plant-based food all over the USA. Chelsie was trying new flavor and vegetarian creations, which led to the grand opening of ‘The Sanctum’. Now the owners of this eatery are having their own village and they are cooperating with such manufacturers as the ‘Golden Hills Coffee Roasters’ (for the coffee beans), ‘Living Vitalitea Kombucha’ (for kombucha), ‘Fleet Farming’, ‘Frog Song Organics’ and ‘Arto Moro Tempeh Co’.
The service is excellent, friendly and fast. Definitely this place worth visiting if you like vegan/vegetarian options.
4. Tijuana Flats
Location: 7560 W Sand Lake Rd, at Dr. Phillips Blvd, Orlando
The owner of the restaurant’s brunch, Brian Wheeler, opened the first restaurant in Florida’s Winter Park in 1995. A bit later, Brian made the line of hot sauces (including several world’s hottest sauces) and gave it a name “Smack My Ass & Call Me Sally”. Today, there are about 110 restaurants in six states in the USA. The choice of sauces in the restaurant is extended- there are about 15 of them.
The location of the eatery is very close to the Universal Studios. The service is fast and friendly, the size of portions is big.
The pleasing fact is that every dish in Tijuana Flats is made from the freshest ingredients and composed only before serving. There, no freezers or microwaves are used. The beans dishes are vegetarian and lard-free. In addition, no canned foodstuffs or trans-fat cooking oil is used. You will definitely enjoy their tex-mex cuisine!
